Men's team with their bronze medals
Tauranga South Men and Ladies Excel at Champ of Champ Fours
The men's and ladies' fours teams from Bowls Tauranga South both managed to qualify for the post-section rounds of the National Champion of Champion Fours in Hastings over the weekend.
The ladies team, made up of Heather Gilbert (S), Pat Andrews, Ceri Fenton, and Chris Allan, had a great Quarter Final game against Palmerston North, finally bowing out with a score of 12 - 16.
The men's team, made up of Anthony Oullet (S), Eric Patillo, Denis Duncan, and Stu Owen, made it to the semi-finals where they were guaranteed a bronze medal. They had a thrilling game against the team from Martinborough and after an initial deficit, fought back strongly to succumb 10 - 13 to the Gary Muriwai skipped team.
The teams were well supported by members from the club and did everyone proud with their efforts.
